KOF for Girls – Iori SR card – An unexpected side of him – Part 1 & 2 [ENG/ESP/PT]

Story included in Iori’s “An unexpected side of him” SR card in KOF for Girls.

Yukari and Bao are going to the aquarium but get lost on the way. Iori finds them and tells them that they’ve been walking in the opposite direction.

As Yukari and Bao have one extra ticket to the aquarium, they decide to invite Iori, and after some coercion, he grudgingly accepts.

The aquarium is not very appealing to Iori. He says that the fish look like delicious food to him, and comments that the souvenirs are nonsense aimed at women and children.

They reach the penguin enclosure during feeding time, and this piques Iori’s interest. Suddenly, he starts talking to the penguins, calling them “birds” and telling them to form a line. The penguins comply, and Bao is very amused. Iori is a hit with the penguins!

Later, Iori walks Yukari and Bao to the train station so they won’t get lost again. As a thank you for the aquarium ticket, he invites Yukari to his concert.

Billy – SR card – The Fangs of a Mad Dog – Parts 1 & 2 [ENG/ESP]

This is the story included in Billy Kane’s SR card “The Fangs of a Mad Dog” in KOF for Girls.

Original title: 狂犬の牙 (SR card)
English and Spanish translation: @miauneko

Yukari finished grocery shopping earlier than expected and tells herself that it would be a waste to return home early. She decides to take a walk in the park and finds Billy tending to his bo. She approaches him and asks if she can make him company.

Intrigued at her intense stare, Billy asks if she wants something.

“When you’re focused on your weapon, your expression changes. It’s like seeing a new side of you,” she explains.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Billy asks.

“Eh… There’s usually a grimace on your lips and you’re always frowning… Like this!”

Yukari does an imitation of Billy’s grimace.

“I don’t make such strange faces!” protests Billy, but then he adds: “I hadn’t noticed it. Am I always like that? Now that I think about it, Geese-sama also told me that I should relax more…”

“Heheh, if you frown like that, you’ll get wrinkles,” teases Yukari. “You always look troubled, but just now, you had a gentle expression on your face. That weapon is very important for you, isn’t it?”

“Important, you say… When you look at it, don’t you think it’s scary?” Billy asks.

“It’s a bit scary because it’s a tool to hurt people, but if it’s important to you, then it’s fine.”

“Heh, I see.”

Billy reflects on the bo being important to him. He looks up at the sky. He then asks Yukari:

“Tell me, do you have anything you want to protect at all costs?”

“Eh… Something I want to… protect?”

The game gives you the option to reply “the dojo”.

“The dojo where everyone has gathered. Where I cook and become more disciplined…” says Yukari. “I think I need to give my all for the place where everyone can be together.”

Then Billy explains:

“I want to become strong, for the person I should have protected… The person I vowed my allegiance to. And I want to keep on fighting.
Until now, this hasn’t changed. And it won’t change in the future.”

And he goes on:

“You said that this bo seems like an important possession. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that this is my ‘partner’. It’s an important part of me. I’m here right now, because I have it. I can’t picture myself without it.”

Yukari says that in that case, the bo is like a medal representing Billy’s merits. He likes the analogy.

Then Yukari asks about the device whereby Billy can set his bo aflame, but he doesn’t want to reveal the secret.

She concludes that releasing fire through his bo is another way to “become stronger” and Billy agrees, and tells her a bit about Geese-sama, without mentioning his name:

“Yeah. Because “he” was incredibly powerful. I needed to be strong in order to be by his side. That’s why I became strong, and why I need to be strong from now on. It was to help him protect the world he built. He took me in. And it was because of him that I’m able to do this now.”

Yukari realizes that the person who was important to Billy is not there anymore.

She then says that she wants to become stronger, to stop being the one who needs protection, and start protecting other people instead. And the first step is to learn some self-defense so she asks Billy to teach him how to fight. He doesn’t reject her, but says that he will do so at his own convenience. Yukari is happy and says that she looks forward to it.

KOF for Girls – Iori SSR card – The Sweetness of a Cold Night

From KOF for Girls “Melty Valentine” event:

Iori’s Valentine Card Story – “The Sweetness of a Cold Night”

MC made chocolates for everyone at the dojo. She has some for Iori, but she thinks the chances of seeing him that day are slim. Then she suddenly remembers that Iori has a live concert, and decides to go.

She finds Benimaru on the courtyard and he asks if she’s planning to go out. Then lends her a pocket hand warmer because the evening is cold.

MC waits outside the concert venue, hiding “like a stalker”, while a bunch of Iori fans wait for him. When Iori appears, the fans go “Kyaaa, Iorinn” and start arguing about whose present he should take first.

Iori: “Silence. Or do you want to die?”

[English]

Movin’ on! Movin’ on! Movin’ on! Get ready!

Let’s move forward, even if the sky is not the one we wanted
Embracing the cruel destiny
The moon and the sun who weren’t supposed to meet
Must follow the same path, that’s all

If it’s tedious (the hopelessness), then I don’t want it (it’s okay to feel down)
Listen, playtime is over

Like these red flames
Like these blue flames
Now we’re violently entangled, and we shine, anyway we want it

There’s something I want to protect
In this burning present and the future
Stay just the way you are
Movin’ on! Movin’ on! Fire!

Stained hands and a distorted soul in the dark
But, being you, you can love without fear
Darkness is something that thrives in the light
That’s a part of “life”, don’t you think?

From being captive (a proud), to being released (attitude toward life)
Even if you turn into ashes, you must persist

We will seal any enemy
We will purify any adversary
Let’s give our all, to raise this fist high

Remember it when you look at the moon
Don’t resist, did you get fired up?
Stay just the way you are
Movin’ on! Movin’ on! Fire!

Let’s accept every aspect of ourselves
And let’s take an oath to love it until the very end
Like this passion that doesn’t burn out, together, for eternity

Our inheritance (loathsome), even the binding spell (painful blood)
No matter what comes, we will change it with our strength

Like these red flames
Like these blue flames
Now we’re violently entangled, and we shine, anyway we want it

There’s something I want to protect
In this burning present and the future
Stay just the way you are
Movin’ on! Movin’ on! Fire!
