Mai agare! Suzaku miracle-raa

[Fly high! Suzaku Miracle La.]

The young redhead looked up to the tiny Fire Demon which held him in his arms. They had just been in a fight together against an A-Class Youkai. Kurama had been careless when he fought and ended up getting himself injured. Hiei on the other hand did a superb job at defeating the offenfing Youkai. Hiei was carrying Kurama to his house, it seemed as if they were flying. Kurama wasn't used to moving at such great speed. At the Minamino residense, Kurama asked Hiei to go inside with him.

"What about your parents?" the suspicios Fire Demon asked.
"They went to Hokkaido for a vacation with little Shuuichi. I told them I'd need to study," the smaller Demon shook his head, still not convinced, "Come on Hiei, my ankle hurts a lot, I don't want to have to walk upstaires alone." Hiei sighed his defeat and decided to go inside with the kitsune.

Kurama smiled at the gentleness only he found in Hiei. The Youkai had been kind enough to agree to stay the night. Actually, he wanted to leave at first, but Kurama coaxed him with "Sweet Snow." Hiei looked at Kurama over his high stack of icecream. It wasn't that Hiei didn't WANT to stay with Kurama over-night, it was just the strange he got whenever he was around the kitsune. Hiei and Kurama had only been together for a little over a month, and Hiei wasn't used to the new emotions he possessed.

Kurama stretched and yawned. He layed on his bed, smiling at Hiei. He knew how hard it must have been to trust and accept another person after a life like Hiei's, so he planned on doing anything in his power to make it easy for Hiei.

"Hiei, come to bed. If you're worried about my ankle, it won't get in the way," Kurama requested gently. Hiei looked over at the kitsune and nodded slowly. He stood and made his way over to his smiling partner and sat on the edge of the bed. Hiei shed himself of his attire, leaving only a pair of white briefs. Kurama stroked Hiei's arm softly.

"Hiei, are you alright? You seem more tense than usual. Are you worried about something?" Kurama asked, using a calm and comforting tone.

Hiei shook his head and climed under the blankets with the larger redhead. Hiei looked up into Kurama's emerald eyes, and stared for a moment. He always felt warmer when he was around Kurama. Tough he was a Fire Demon, he possessed the ice-heart of a Forbidden Child, an ice-heart only Kurama was capable of melting. Kurama carressed Hiei's cheek softly before kissing his lips. Kurama was an expert at the art of kissing, but Hiei was simply learning. Kurama trailed his tongue against Hiei's closed lips and into Hiei's mouth after receiving a gasp.

Hiei closed his eyes, as he felt that warmth surround and invade him. He began sucking the intruding tongue softly, rubbing it against his own. Both Demons sighed when the kiss was over. Kurama still possessed his warm smile and Hiei's face flushed softly. Hiei was still sure that at anytime Kurama would find a new lover and push him to the side. He didn't want to do anything to hurry that process along.

"Hiei," Kurama traced his finger along Hiei's chest as he spoke, "Do you know what today is?" Hiei was silent for a while as he tried to guess what the fox was talking about, "It's your birthday."

Hiei gasped when he realised Kurama was right, "Ch.. How did you know that?"
"Yukina. Earlier today, she told me it was her birthday. I know you are her twin, so it's obvious you were born on the same day," Kurama chuckled lightly and continued, "I'll give you anything you want, just tell me."

Hiei pondered for a moment, and as he decided what he wanted most, he opened his mouth to speak.

"You. I want..." Hiei struggled, trying to find the words to say, he was never good with language, "Never leave me. I don't want to be alone anymore... All I need is you to stay." Kurama gasped at the emotion the Koorime was showing, it was a rare occassion that he got a glimpse at this side of Hiei, usually only after they've made love, and layed cuddling. Kurama's face brightened when he noticed that he could be close to achieving his goal in earning Hiei's complete trust.

He pulled the Youkai closer to himself, "I'll never think of leaving you, Hiei. You're my life. And as for being alone..." Kurama grinned seductively and nipped at the startled Demon's ear, "I'll personally make sure you don't ever feel lonely..."

The lovers enjoyed their love making, gasping heavily after their climaxes. Kurama held Hiei close, their seed and sweat mingled together. Kurama lifted one hand to sweep the strands of hair out of Hiei's face and kissed the area above the Jagan softly, receiving a slight shudder from the Koorime.

Hiei opened his eyes exhaustedly and gave Kurama a full-hearted half-smile. Hiei snuggled against Kurama's nude form and yawned. "Happy birthday koi. Ai shiteiru," Kurama mumbled into Hiei's coarse hair and smiled as Hiei's breathing slowed and evened out. "Oyasumi, watashi no koibito."

Hiei groaned softly in protest as the sun shined through Kurama's window. He felt around on the bed for Kurama and groaned again when he found nothing. Hiei sat up, rubbing his eyes and looking around the room. He noticed a small piece of paper stuck to his arm that had not been there the previous night. He peeled the stick-it note off his arm and used his limitted reading skill to make out the note.

"My ankle's doing a lot better today. I remembered that I needed to pick some things up from the store. I won't be too long. If I am not back by 10, I'm having a bit of trouble. I'll be at the store near the icecream shop. Love always, Kurama."

"Hn, baka kitsune..." Hiei stretched and yawned. He looked over at the digital clock at his side. "10:43"

Hiei growled and quickly put on his pants and cloak. That note said if Kurama wasn't back by 10, he'd be in trouble, in fact Hiei read the note at least 10 times to make sure. Hiei made his way out of Kurama's bedroom, via the window, and searched for the Youko's ki. Hiei sighed in relief when he spotted the Youki and started towards it.

Hiei growled again when he saw Kurama sitting on a bench near the store, "Why are you just sitting? Weren't you supposed to come home?!"
Kurama nodded, "I'm sorry Hiei... I can't walk that far. I am glad you came after me."
"Hn... Can't walk that far?" Hiei interupted and looked at Kurama again.
"Hiei, don't be angry. My ankle's swollen... I can't even get my shoe off."
"Baka... I thought you said it was better," Kurama looked away, hiding his frown, "Don;t be like that, I'm not angry... anymore..." Hiei lifted Kurama's foot and pulled the pant leg up.
"I think it's broken... Take me home please." Hiei nodded and lifted Kurama, starting on the way home.

Before Hiei had made it to Kurama's house, he was stopped by the nosey leader of the Urameshi team, "Hey Hiei. Kurama. What happened?"
"Ohayou, Yuusuke-kun. It's nothing... I sprained my ankle. I am having Hiei take me home painlessly."
"Oh? I could have sworn Hiei was as cold as ice," the brunette Ningen smirked at Hiei's glare, "Guess you're good friends. Hey, Kuwabara's planning a surprise party for Yukina Saturday night at 8, want to come?"

"Hmm? I could have sworn her birthday was yesterday.." Kurama mumbled confusedly.
"Yeah it was, that's what is so surprising."
"I see... I'll be there. If you don't mind, I need to get home..."
Yuusuke nodded, "Ja then."
"Ja, Yuusuke-kun."

Hiei sighed, relieved when Yuusuke left them. Hiei smirked at Kurama's chuckle and walked the rest of the way to Kurama's house. "Hiei... I left my keys, can you pick the lock?"
Hiei shook his head, "Not without putting you down, heavy kitsune. I left the window openned."
"But..." before Kurama could finish his protesting, he was flying in Hiei's arms up to and through his window.

Hiei smiled at the death grip Kurama held on him, "Hn, scared of jumping, fox?" He teased.
Kurama glared, also teasing, "No, just scared of your grip on me. Can you put me down please?" Hiei carried Kurama to the double bed and dropped him ontp it. "A little more gently, please?"
Hiei grinned, "Sorry, my grip wasn't good enough." Kurama snorted a 'hn' and sounded a lot like Hiei.
He grabbed the Koorime's shoulders and pulled him down ontop of himself. He gave the Youkai a quick kiss, "I love you, Hiei."

Hiei's expression calmed as he leaned down and kissed Kurama slower. When the kiss broke, Hiei smiled. "I love you too... Kurama."
